Well I had surgury today, spent twelve hours at the hospital. So now I have a buch of external hardware to lookout for. I have yet to unrap every thing and count the number of pins, but I think that it is about 5 or six. It is kindav a nasty thought that I have pins sticking out of my skin. So when I get a picture of it I will post it. So please keep praying for me.

I got another bottle of pain meds........it is a narcotic and the warning said "extended use could be habit forming"..............hhmmmm

I didn't find that having external pins was any different than just having a cast,
although you do have me beat on the number of pins. (For that I am jealous!) Just wait till they pull them ALL out!! That is something I can't quite explain.

How far out did your pins stick out?

That's pretty creepy, the closest thing I have to that is when I had my staples in, I could feel them rubbing against the cast. It was creepy. I'm not really understanding having the pins sticking out of you.... I'll probably understand when you post a picture.

DUDE. I was addicted to Vicodin, I say this jokingly but it is a bit true. I think I already mentioned this, but I used them to go to sleep after I had my surgery and I kept using them to get to sleep. Then I realized that it probably wasn't a good thing. Haha... It was hard to go to sleep for a couple days but you get over it.

I'll keep praying and I'll tell you that going through the surgery and recovery process was really good for me, I would do it again. The Lord showed me things there, things that I probably don't even undertstand now but He is a refuge and He is very strong. Keep relying on Him!

I guess this means you won't be doing any more snowboarding in your backyard, huh?
What about shootin' snowmen? You could have Michael roll 'em up for you and shoot 'em with an airsoft. It's probably better with a shotgun, but I don't think you should shoot one a those with one arm. Could be dangerous, ay?
So does this mean you won't have another cast?
Oh, you know how you said you can't even play cards? Well, actually you can! There are these card holder thingies that you stand the cards up in. It's as simple as a piece of wood with a...nitch? in it.(I think that's the word I'm looking for.) I'd let you use ours, but it's packed along with everything else we own. I'm still not sure why we have one of those things.
Anywho, I'll be prayin' for ya.

Well I found out that I have 7 pins in my arm. Pretty cool, or not but the DR. is doing his best and my arm should be free of the erector set that is on it in 6-8 weeks and then I have a couple of months of therapy!!

How is it going? Right after I broke my ankle I was really depressed because I was just sitting around on pain killers with nothing to do, but as time went on I had more things to do. But that whole time was really just a rest, which was nice because life is busy.

Your situation should be a bit better because it's easy for you to walk, but still not being able to use an arm is really lame.

Still praying!
